Shawl pin with a diving duck

I have a great weakness for woolen shoulder shawls. They are both down-to-earth and soft and tender. A woolen shoulder shawl has many times supported me on difficult moments - just by being around my shoulders. And because of that have the shawl pins a special place in my creations as well.
In our family, when mother is "playing" in her workshop, may happen that she calls out to her kids: "I will come soon, the backside of the duck is finished, just the flippers are to be done!"
Well, here it is. It is inspired by the real ducks because the way they are diving for the weeds is quite funny, with their flippers wriggling. I'll add to this shawl pin a longer story about what I encountered with ducks.
The base of this shawl pin is made of silver, the duck is made of brass and the flippers of copper. The surface of the shawl pin is matted. Polishing it to shine is quite useless because suddenly every fingerprint and every tiny scratch will be very visible. A matted surface is much more close to real life.
