Wheel coin with oak leaves and acorns

A wheel coin is a pendant belonging to traditional clothes in some parts of Estonia. Hundreds of years ago was one such pendant costing as much as the price of one half of a farmstead, so those pendants were passed on to the next generation. A wheel coin pendant consisted of the coin and the spikes around the coin.
I have a special relationship with wheel coins. With my first one I had a wonderful experience how ideas showed up in my head and together they formed a funny whole and what was the worst part - I made it! I was afraid that traditional clothing had very strong limits but I learned that even hundreds of years ago there were silversmiths who added quirks to their wheel coins.
This time I approached the spikes creatively. The oak leaves with the acorns make up together a very charming composition, especially when the acorns are a bit spatial.
